Ardbeg 1965
Review by Ardbeg
- Colour
Rich amber gold
- Nose
Wafts of sea spray, luscious summer fruits enveloped in ripe peaches. Nutty chocolate and vanilla notes. Sweet smokiness, coal tar and gentle peat oils. Chocolate raisins and rich fruitcake.
- Palate
Tingly mouthfeel. A salty sea breeze with fish smoked over an open heather and peat fire. Rich dried fruits (raisins and sultanas), elements of cherry pie and cream. Vanilla, espresso coffee and berry fruits.
- Finish
A long finish with peat smoke and blackcurrants, hints of dark chocolate, dried fruit and traces of sea salt.
