Tasted at:

Nose:
Rather smoky for the age, somewhat fruity (apples, canned pineapples), coastal motives (clams, brine, wet stones), vanilla and pepper mix, sweet grapefruit zest
Palate:
Spicy (black pepper and ginger), vanilla custard, lemon curd, some orchard berries, light minerality with salty caramel notes, bonfire, smoked fish, tender oak at the end
Finish:
Medium-long, smoky, earthy, peppery, with notes of old leather and green tea
Conclusion:
Nice whisky but a kind of disappointment for this age. Quite simple, complexity is basically missing. Also it is quite smoky for the age. However, superbly balanced and very quaffable: creamy and somewhat fruity. Rather overpriced for this quality.
