Langside Distillers - Hepburn's Choice
7.7 (1)
Tasted at:
13/04/2019
Nose:
Slightly creamy, yeast, some fusel oil, pear mash, porridge, butter shortbreads, hint of vanilla, fudge
Palate:
Quite rough, strong alcohol influence, slightly spicy (ginger, cardamom), cooked vegetables, malted barley, porridge, muesli, orchard berry jam, some minerality, hint of oak
Finish:
Short, alcohol, apple seeds, yeast, malt, salty notes, some bitterness
Conclusion:
Very basic and immature single malt. Young nose with yeast and fusel oil, rough unbalanced taste and some bitterness in the aftertaste. Interesting to try but definitely not for buying a full bottle.
