Nose
The usual forrest feel of GoldCock. Some sweetness.
Though this one, unlike all other I tried from this distillery, has a unfavorable alco-yeastiness to it. Like certain toung whiskies, missing proper maturation, has.
Slightly disapointing.
Palate
Feisty forrest feel, wood and oak in balance. Undefined spices.
The offputting notes from the nose is gone.
Finish
Quite long and nicely lingering. Some wood in the end.
Conclusion
It really bounces back from the slightly disapointing nose. This is a good 10 year old.
Promising for their distillery range. I look forward to a 15 year old...
