Tasted at:
16/09/2018
Nose:
Sweet, sherry, dried fruits, vanilla, butterscotch, honeycomb, creamy notes, light maltiness, which getting stronger with water
Palate:
Slightly sweet, oaky, barley, vanilla, some spices (nutmeg and clove), lemon zest, some bitter notes, rather spirituous
Finish:
Short, drying, oaky, malty, a bit of walnut, slightly bitter
Conclusion:
Interesting whisky, with very nice sherry nose. It's rather malty because of its "humble" age. The taste is even maltier and quite spirituous. The oak is also quite vivid and it probably gives that light bitterness in the taste and aftertaste. So the whisky itself is quite pleasant but rather malty and I personally cannot say that I like it a lot
