Note

Knocknarea is a 14 year old single malt whiskey finished in the finest Oloroso Sherry casks. As with all our First Editions it is limited to 6,600 uniquely numbered bottles, crafted and curated by Billy Walker. It tells the old Celtic Myth of Noahs granddaughter, Lady Kessair.

An epic journey from the Kingdom of Kush, down the River Nile to the to the safe haven harbour of Dun na mBarc on Irelands west coast under the high peaks of Knocknarea. Bringing forth excellences never before experienced on the Emerald Isle, this expedition was laden with the future generations of Erin.

Like the explorers of old, have you the patience to wait to savour the angels share?

THE COMPASS OF LADY KESSAIR

Irish legend tells of Noahs granddaughter, Kessair, who without a place on The Ark, constructed her own vessel for an epic quest that commenced at the Kingdom of Kush and brought her to the high peaks of Knocknarea.

Bringing forth excellences never experienced on the Emerald Isle, when embarking on a legendary odyssey from the River Nile to the safe haven harbour of Dun na mBarc on Irelands west coast, this expedition was laden with the future generations of Erin.

Setting sail from the ancient Nubian empire, past the Mareotic Lakes, she was accompanied on this wayfaring and tempestuous voyage by her father, her brother and also her lover, Finntan, who would become the eternal living soul of Ireland.

Seeking a land where sin was never committed to escape the black final wave of The Deluge, her amazing journey is mirrored and modulated with the green nut and barley shores of a single malt Irish whiskey and the rich fruited lands of a Mediterranean Oloroso Sherry finished with the flavours of barley sugar, vanilla, candy floss and butterscotch.

This tale demonstrates how necessity is the mother of invention. It synthesizes the culmination of Kessairs exploration and determination and shows how there is nothing that perseverance and a unique vision cant overcome. Just like the master distiller labours until his whiskey reaches perfection, will you savour the angels share?
