Double Barrel Ardbeg & Craigellachie
Review by Double Barrel
- Tasting note
The nose carries a burnt toffee character with a charred lemon zest style, running to vanilla. The palate opens sweetly with caramel and chocolate, before charcoal and BBQ ash qualities appear. The finish is long and sweetly smoked, with chimney soot and a salty liquorice character.

Double Barrel is an intriguing concept. A marriage of Malts from two very different Scotch Whisky Distilleries, the result is a perfectly balanced Malt that proves that opposites definitely do attract. Douglas Laing's award-winning Double Barrel continues to astound its tasters with unexpectedly complex yet palate-pleasing pairings.
