- Note
-
We are convinced that only good barrels make a good whiskey. we used only erstbefüllte for our Signature Edition "One", fresh barrels ( "First Fill") - in them matured before any other single malt whiskey. The particularly adds intense aromas - and ensures a rapid ripening.
Every single malt whiskey from our Signature Edition carries the individual signature of selected barrels. "One" we composed of a high proportion of ex Bourbon barrels and Rhum Agricole barrels - for vanilla-caramel and floral-exotic flavors. Little Quarter Casks deliver spicy oak accents. Pedro Ximenez sherry casks expand the range of fruit flavors - and a small proportion chestnut barrels adds a nutty top note.
