Rich antique gold.
Apricot jam and warm, peppery oak hold touches of crisp grape and mellow honeydew melon.
Golden plums and nectarines balanced by contrasting waves of toasted oak and grape seed followed by a delicate back note of ground almonds and butterscotch.
The BenRiach 15 years old Sauternes wood finish is matured in the traditional style in American bourbon barrels, then finished in Sauternes casks from the Bordeaux region of France. Sauternes gives its name to an award-winning dessert wine and the finishing effect on the whisky is stunning, as the tasting notes reveal.

- Nose Sweet sweet sweet. Just layer after layer of brown sugar, honey sweet floral nectar it is a dry sweetnes. Ginger and lemon zest. Some vanilla. Nice nose, a little sharp and unevolved. Palate Very dry, I can feel the casks activation, much lighter than the nose, not as sharp, very strong lemon notes, some peache and apple taste. While tasting it is very dry on the tounge and not sharp. Aftertaste Not very long but nice, it leaves strong ginger notes, warm caramel, the casks leave a nice wine taste
