Nose
Fresh, fruity (apple mash, green pears), fruit acid drops, vanilla, butter toffee, red currants, honey, hint of french baguette, very light oaky notes on the background
Palate
Malty, slightly spicy, cereals, red berry jam, slightly bitter oak
Finish
Medium-long, oaky tannins, apple seeds, porridge, light sweetness at the end
Conclusion
Good whisky, solid entry-level single malt. Typical bourbon character without any major flaws - quite balanced although rather simple. I didn’t like light oaky bitterness but it’s a matter of taste. Anyways it’s a good Frenchman, which is not worse than Scotch competitors.
