Nose
Slightly perfumery, apple mash, sweet apple pastry, cinnamon, honey, touch of vanilla, orange zest
Palate
Medium-sweet, malty, white pepper and gentle oak, porridge with butter, bitter notes (apple seeds)
Finish
Medium-long, slowly drying, malty and nutty tones
Conclusion
It starts with a really nice and light nose with a lot of different apples: fresh and baked. However, the taste is quite ordinary and somewhat lax: it seems that the palate components are selected right but for some reason they do not stay together as a whole but just crawl to the different directions. But I can’t say this whisky is unbalanced, no. It just lacks the wholeness. Actually not a bad choice for entry-level malt.
