- Note
-
The Special Reserve is a complete experiment. We selected cask samples from distilleries from all over Scotland aged from 10 to 46 years old and blended them together to create the Special Reserve No.2.
Weve used malt whiskies from Aberlour, Auchroisk, Bladnoch, Benrinnes, Bowmore, Bunnahabhain, Caol Ila, Cragganmore, Glen Grant, Glen Moray, Glentauchers, Imperial (since demolished), Linkwood to name but a few, and grain whiskies from Cameronbridge and Invergordon, blended to a ratio of 75% malt to 25% grain larger than industry standard.
We get asked what the reasoning behind this is and we say well nobody has done it before so why not?.
There was only 871 bottles of this release produced so it is another release which you should get your hands on quickly.
