Shiel is the second release in The Keystones Series which explores and celebrates our five traditional keystones of production that have remained unchanged for 220 years.
It is named after the wooden shovels we use to turn our barley by hand as it germinates – a job carried out industrially for the majority of distilleries. Usually, our hand-turned floor maltings account for around 20% of the malt used in Highland Park but, for this special limited release, we’ve used a full 100% to deliver a powerful intensity of peat smoke.
Shiel is due to be released for sale in week commencing 7 August 2017 exclusively for members of our Inner Circle to buy direct from Highland Park online. For the chance to purchase this special edition single malt, members have to have registered their interest by 1.00 pm (UK time) on 3 August 2017.
Shiel will be available at price of £75 for a 70cl bottle in the UK.
