Mortlach 12 year old The Wee Witchie
Review by Mortlach
- Nose
Rich and deep, with immediate warming, toasty oak tones and ripe fresh stone fruits that lead into a deep, creamy rich oak character.
- Palate
Medium to heavy body, with a thick texture. Oaky, soft vanilla and Crème Brûlée lead into poached pear and caramelized orange. Gentle, zesty flavours of citrus and cream with a little clove and maltiness at the end.
- Finish
Quite dry and slightly sooty/ashy with oak. Theres some plum with an added hint of bitterness.
