Nose:
Sweet, vanilla.
Palate:
Very sweet and a bit woody.
Finish:
Long lasting, spicy. Hints of wood.
Conclusion:
Due to the long aging bourbon casks this whisky is very sweet and subtle. It's not a taste explosion, but very gentle. No sharp edges and well balanced with the alcohol.

Nose:
Fruity and rich.
Palate:
Vanilla and gentle, peppery after a while.
Finish:
Full, long and fruity. Slight hints of wood.
Conclusion:
This is a great whisky. Due to it's age the taste is very subtle with different layers, such as vanilla and red fruit in perfect harmony. Also it's a bit dry in the finish, probably because of the wine finish.

Nose:
The dark fruit can't be missed on this one. Almost wine.
Palate:
Great stuff, very fruity and warm.
Finish:
Remarkably it's very short and dry compared to other Oloroso (?) matured whisky.
Conclusion:
This whisky is included in the Project XX. It was around 22 years old when I tasted a sample. This whisky is great, but I agree with Tony (the Dutch ambassador) a Glenfiddich is at its best when matured in American oak casks.

Nose:
Subtle layers of sweetness.
Palate:
Very powerful, but the alcohol is in balance with the taste. It's warm with some hints of vanilla.
Finish:
Long, sweet oakiness.
Conclusion:
Unfortunately a single cask Glenfiddich is rare. When I tasted this sample it was approx. 20 years old. The whisky was selected by the Dutch ambassador Tony for Project XX in 2015.
