Our collection is inspired by the animals that held iconic status for the Vikings who ruled Orkney for over 600 years.
For our Viking ancestors the eagle represented wisdom and knowledge.
According to legend a mighty eagle sits at the top of a sacred ash tree and the beating of its wings creates the winds that sweep across Earth.
WINGS OF THE EAGLE celebrates our wild island climate and its spicy and elegant character reveals a sophisticated combination of flavours layered as intricately as the feathers of an eagles wing.
Created by Gordon Motion, Master Whisky Maker.
Character primarily driven by sherry seasoned European oak casks giving the whisky layers of flavour combining sweet dried fruits, warm spices, dark chocolate and marzipan.
Balanced with the aromatic smokiness from our local Orkney peated malt that is the defining characteristic of Highland Park.
Bottled at 44.5% ABV to bring out the key flavours in the whisky.
Natural glowing amber colour driven entirely by the casks.
