Longrow 18 year old 2013 Release
Review by Longrow
- Nose
Syrupy pears, sugared almonds and all kinds of sweet goodies. A classic Longrow - the peat smoke isn't particulary evident on the nose, though a hint of camp fire emerges as the whisky begins to breath.
- Palate
Again, Longrow's signature sweet peaty flavour comes though as the whisky moves over your palate, but not before we get some fantastic richness; home-made fudge, treacle and caramel shortcake. A satisfying dram which demands that you spend some time getting to know it.
- Finish
Creamy and buttery with just the rich amount of peaty embers. More sweetness and just a touch of dried fruit complements the mild peat.
