Smokehead Rum Rebel
Review by Smokehead
- Nose
Hanging out in Caribbean rum casks gives this Smokehead a jolt of immense smoke and fiery peat, followed by soothing citrus and tropical fruits. And is that marshmallow and bacon in there...?
- Palate
Face down a fearlessly rich and peaty punch, thick oils and bracing sea spray, tempered with dried spices, banana and dark wood.
- Finish
The safety of dry land is in sight. Notes of caramel and cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla, add a delicate contrast to the lingering smokiness.
- Conclusion
When Smokehead meets a rum cask cousin. Fiery peat smoke and burnt marshmallows, softened with caramelised fruit. Taste the rebellion.
